For when work or business feel overwhelming or uncertain, and you need space to pause and make sense of what's happening.
Work can ask a lot of us. And sometimes, what it asks becomes too much.
You might be struggling with anxiety about work, or finding that a difficult experience, being undermined, bullied, passed over, or made redundant, is affecting you more than you expected. Perhaps your confidence has been knocked and you don't feel like yourself. Perhaps the pressure has become something you're carrying in your body, your sleep, your relationships.
Whatever is happening for you, you don't have to manage it alone.
Counselling with me is a confidential, supported space to explore what's happening for you at work and the impact on your personal life: emotionally, psychologically, and practically.
It's different from coaching. There's no agenda to fix or optimise. It's a space to slow down, to be heard, and to begin to understand what's going on, so you can find your own way through, at your own pace.
Some examples of what we might explore:
Anxiety, stress, or overwhelm related to your work
Loss of confidence or a sense of not being yourself
The impact of being undermined, bullied, or treated unfairly at work
The impact of redundancy
The emotional reality of losing or leaving a role
Burnout, especially if you're not yet able to return to work
Difficult workplace relationships or dynamics
Career uncertainty or feeling stuck
The cumulative toll of high-pressure work environments
I'm an HCPC-registered occupational psychologist and integrative practitioner with training in psychotherapeutic counselling, systemic and contextual therapy, and a range of therapeutic approaches. I specialise in work and career counselling. My approach is warm, non-judgemental, and grounded in psychological understanding. I offer a space where you can bring what's really going on and begin to make sense of it, without judgement or pressure to arrive anywhere in particular. I'm trauma-trained and everything shared is confidential in line with professional ethical practice.
We begin with an initial conversation so you can get a sense of whether working together feels right. From there, sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly. There's no fixed number of sessions; we work at your pace and review as we go.
Let's talk.

Counselling is the right starting point if what you're carrying is still rooted in the past, an experience that needs processing before you can properly think about what's next, or if burnout has taken you to a point where you're not yet able to return to work. If you're already steady and simply working with something specific that's blocking forward movement, Therapeutic Coaching may be the better fit.
Counselling and coaching aren't always separate journeys. It's common to begin in counselling while things are still raw, and move into coaching once you feel steadier and ready to focus on what's ahead. We'll keep checking in on what's most useful for you, and can shift pathways together as that becomes clearer.
